My family has been a part of the St Gregory family since the school opened. I have 3 children for the 2017-2018 year they were in Grades 2, 7 and 9. Our grade 9 student achieved Honour Roll for all 3 terms. Our grade 7 student achieved Honour Roll once. Honour Roll gave them a chance to reach their goals. Our grade 2 student loved her teacher. We had an amazing School Council team as well. It was great getting to know the staff, parents, and students. I think the best thing I can highlight on other than academics is the Family Groups. It is so great watching the little students interact with the big students and vice versa. The little students would come up to my older children and hug them in the community. St Gregories is not only a great school but a great family!
i have recently heard of this school from my friend james monroe I have nothing bad to say about this school but nothing good also i have heard that some teachers are good but that is mixed opinions i wish i could give this school 5 stars but until i get more detail on what goes on at this establishment so this is my rating
We were so excited to hear there would be a Catholic school opening in Blackfalds for the 2017/2018 school year. Our girls were lucky enough to attend the very first year the school opened and from the moment we stepped inside the school doors we were welcomed with open arms. Mr. Andrew, Mrs. Ward, the front office ladies along with their whole teaching team were just amazing and worked so well together as they navigated their first year as a new school. My girls attended Grade 2 with Mrs. Frank & Grade 4 with Mrs. Bishop and we felt from the beginning that we won the teacher lottery. These two ladies were just wonderful with our girls and made long lasting connections with them. St Gregory the Great is a very inclusive environment and the faculty definitely makes you feel like All Are Welcome I cant say enough about how amazing our experience was. There are wonderful sports programs, hot lunch cafeteria, family groups, open and inviting learning commons and many more amazing things happening at this school. We have since moved out of the community and we will definitely miss being part of the St Gregory the Great school family this year.
We were apprehensive about switching from St Teresa when St Gregory opened its doors but after the first meeting with our daughters teacher, Mona Bishop and the Principal, Chris Andrew, I was feeling better. The school community is warm and welcoming, the staff we have had dealings with love their jobs and the kids they work with and our daughter is happy with her class. I am glad we did the change and cant wait to see how year 2 goes for St. Gregory!
We having been looking forward to a K-9 school in Blackfalds !! My son attended St.Gregs for grade 5 and it was awesome to see they have a basketball team! We also love family groups, having all the grades come to together like a community! Those little Elementry students look up to the big kids. The lunch program is wonderful as well and the staff is welcoming and friendly too! Great school, looking forwards to several more years
